Yamaha NS-F700
$1,000.00
Released September, 2008
The Pros:Clear and detailed midrange delivery. Sleek design with slight taper toward the top looks stylish, and functionally keeps the speaker stable. Solid build quality, won't accumulate scratches or dents.
The Cons:Treble is too powerful relative to the mids and lows. Bass and midrange lack attack and edge. Poor pairing with matching Yamaha NS-F700 series subwoofer and center - doesn't create a unified field of sound.
The Yamaha NS-F700 is a 3-way, bass reflex floorstanding speaker engineered to work with other CS-700 series speakers. It features a large advanced PMD (Polyer-injected Mica Diaphragm) 6-1/2” cone woofer and 5” cone midrange.

Underneath both cones is a 1-1/8” aluminum dome tweeter with a DC-Diaphragm that can reproduce frequencies up to 100 kHz. Most notable about the Yamaha NS-F700 is rounded top panel and trapezoidal cabinet shape that both work together that reduce vertical and horizontal standing waves.
