Sony SS-F7000

$280.00 Released May, 2008

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Enough bass support to get away without an additional powered subwoofer. Clear and undistorted through the entire range of highs, mids and lows. Heavier build keeps the speakers steady, won't get knocked over easily.

The Cons:Some booming in the bass is audible on certain tracks that happen to hit the wrong frequency range. Position adjustment after installation takes significant effort due to the large weight.

The Sony SS-F7000 consists of a pair of standalone, ultra-powerful floorstanding speakers built to work with a high-powered surround-sound system. It includes dual 8” woofers, a 3-1/4” mid driver, and a 1” dome tweeter.

Utilizing a bass-reflex port—as well as the aforementioned components—the speakers can handle 200W of bass power along an extremely wide 35Hz to 50,000Hz frequency range. They are best used with a professional-quality home theater or surround-sound system, and are cited as offering only the most ‘pristine sound reproduction.’

Additional Information

The Sony SS-F7000 is a step up from the Sony SS-F6000 in that it features larger, more powerful woofers.
