B&W CM7
$2,000.00
Released October, 2008
The Pros:Retro styling. Sound realism. Build Quality.
The Cons:Try and place a little further away from walls to get even better bass. Port bungs need to be a little tighter - if you use the bungs that is. Very revealing - sometimes you might hear things you don't like.
The B&W CM7 is a 3-way floorstanding speaker from B&W's CM Series that can handle up to 150 watts of power. The speaker features a 1" Nautilus tube loaded aluminum dome tweeter, 5" woven Kevlar cone FST midrange, and a 6.5" paper Kevlar cone bass driver to provide a frequency response of 62Hz - 22kHz.
It is designed with high quality components and includes B&W's Flowport technology which minimizes turbulence to produce crisp sound. The CM7 is available in real wood veneer finishes of Wenge or Rosenut and also in a glossy black painted finish to match household decor. It comes with a black cloth grille that attaches magnetically for a clean look and has a price tag of $2000 per pair.
